CELETTO

Jetlag made us wake up at dawn and we waited eagerly for our favorite café, Celetto, to open at 7:00 a.m. Each time we are in Buenos Aires, we always make it a point to stop by at this quaint bakery/restaurant loved by locals. The first branch in the neighborhood of Recoleta on Avenida Alvear 1592 (on the corner of Rodriguez Peña) opened more than five years ago and has been so successful that several other branches have opened all over the city.

We were the first customer to arrive so early on a Sunday morning which was also election day. The display case of the Panetteria was already filled with freshly-baked goods and we had a hard time choosing which ones to have. We all opted for the breakfast set which comes with three pastries or croissants, a Segafredo coffee and fresh orange juice. What a pleasure to read the local paper, La Nacion, and take our time enjoying the wonderful croissants and coffee.
