THAI GALLERY

Clockwise from upper left: prawn crackers, chili sauces, spring rolls, chicken satay

We are regulars at this restaurant and often have dinner here or get some takeaway but each time we've been, I've either forgotten my camera or was too hungry to remember to take any photos. We went there for dinner yesterday evening (to celebrate my birthday) and this time I came prepared. During the summer, all the tables are set outside on the terrace so we had a lovely al fresco dinner.
We know the menu well so we ordered right away - chicken satay and spring rolls to start followed by crispy duck in red curry with lychees and pineapple, prawns Krapow with green beans, crispy fish with chili sauce, prawn pad Thai and some steamed jasmine rice.
By the time we had finished ordering, the place started to fill up with Marbella residents and lots of others here on holiday. Service, as always, was quick, efficient and friendly. We didn't wait long for our food to be served.

Our son polished off most of the chicken satay, his favorite, while A and I shared the mini-spring rolls. The main courses were served soon after - the red curry, spicy and sweet, to complement the crunchy pieces of duck, the fish smothered in a not-too fiery chili sauce and the prawns and green beans were very good as well. The pad Thai was polished off so quickly, we decided to order another one. All in all a simple yet delicious birthday dinner at one of our favorite Marbella restaurants.
