Buenos Aires Surprise

I couldn't post about this trip earlier because it was going to be a big surprise for my husband's family in Argentina. We had planned this trip to Buenos Aires several months back to celebrate my mother-in-law's 75th birthday brunch and for our new baby, C, to meet her grandparents. They were expecting my husband to arive alone and instead got the whole family and this time around we didn't let the secret slip so no one knew about it. Aside from that, we had also organized to have baby C's baptism on this trip so we have a full schedule for the next few days.

We left Malaga on Thursday afternoon and headed off to Buenos Aires on long flight with Aerolineas Argentinas. We hardly slept on the flight since we had to play "pass the baby" because the bassinet we requested could not be given to us. There were 4 bassinets on board and they gave us the last one which was broken and couldn't be installed so it was 11 1/2 hours with a 7-week old baby in our arms. Unbelievable!!

Early Friday morning, we landed in Buenos Aires to a humid rainy day. After an hour of traffic on the highway, we finally made it to our holiday apartment from ApartmentsBA. We had rented another smaller apartment from there last year which this year is being rented by my sister, baby C's godmother, and her family who have flown in from the U.S. to attend the baptism.

So, check in the next few days for my new posts from summertime Buenos Aires.

Hi Miguel,
Yes, this is the land of the asado and chimichurri. I'll tell you all about what we ate very soon.
